OOPs pressed the wrong button.
Kathy I can run Trails either day, just cramming some long Kms as the 40 miler is 3 weeks away. This is my last big run before the race so I will be back into some mid distance runs over the next couple of weeks. Be good to run with you and Suzy soon, hope you guys have some trails organised. Happy Running to then

Im pretty tired from work and my shoes are worn out...but if I can wake up at 0330 or whatever I will try and be there for 0530...as like you guys I am keen to get a 40k run done so I can have a decent shot at 40 miler, or maybe I'll start with Nathan at 0600 and try and hold onto them until we catch you Mark...however with the hours I am putting in at work, my endurance is already in pretty good shape....
A-team and B-team are doing 50k partly on 40 miler course tomorrow at the hills group but not sure I am feeling up to trying to keep up with their pace...but if I sleep in, might have to try...but hopefully will be there at Jarrahdale for 0530 or 0600 tomorrow...

Nathan,Mark and Lachie came saw and conquered 40k on the munda biddi, and I had the honour of being out there too although I only covered about 35-37k...and I was out there for just over 5 hours more details on my blog, see my signature for the link below.
Lovely place to run apart from the spiderwebs...and I learnt a few useful tricks about night running, and ultra running. Very worthwhile.
My headlight died early but wasnt a problem cos Marks was so good, and big thanks to all for the chance to run with you legends...
saw dead and many alive kangaroos, lot so birds...lovely place to run!!!!!

Thanks guys another great day on the Munda Biddi, good to see Lachie has got the trail bug, now we can drag him over to the dark side and get him onto his first Ulltra?? It was most enjoyable running in the dark for the first 1hr just love running under Headlamp and handheld torch, Nate and Lachie you owes us for clearing all the spiderwebs for you this morning I ran through to many to count plus at least 2 spiders in the face YUCK! I felt good until about the 35k mark were I went flat but filled up with a goo/sustagen/Hi5 and my miracle tablet and felt better after a 10 min walk. My feet were sore in the last 6k's maybe try my normal shoes next long run as the trails shoes are to hot after 4 hours. Look forward to the 40 miler the cutoff worrries me but I will finish in my time anyway. Plans for next week lets hear from keen runners, Nate suggesting 30k south of Jarrahdale, Kathy, Suzy wants your plans for next Sunday? Happy Trails

I ran a pleasant 17k from my house this morning, taking in the trails around Lake Leschenaultia. Time was 1hr50m so not breaking any records there. I'd be up for a similar distance run next weekend in my gradual build up. I'm keen to do the Eagle Trail loop in John Forrest NP. At 15k, an additional lap could easily be added for anyone wanting to do more. Any takers?

Sounds good Suzy, I'll be there. Ive got 90 mins to do, so 1 loop will suit me perfectly.

I don't mind doing part of the 40miler course if thats what people prefer with the race coming up. Kathy, we can easily just do an out and back turning whenever we like. Should be flatter than Eagle View trail too.

Hey All,
Suzy/Kathy I'm into running the Eagle View Trail looks like a good challenging course for a cruise, That distance suits me as I'm tapering and as tempting as it is to run with Nate down at Jarrahdale over 30k that would be to much and to fast for what I supposed to be doing. Emo, thanks for the idea of running on the 40 Miler course but running 64k on the day should be enough of seeing that stretch of trail. So Sunday at 6.30am at the Trail Head of the Eagle Veiw Trail Suzy/Kathy sound ok? Of course anyone else who would like to come is welcome.

Unfortunately I'm working on Saturday this week so I'll be going solo on friday morning. Plan is to go to North Dandalup and run 35-40km aong the munda biddi north. Extremely hilly course so a good strength session before the 40 miler. If anyone is free on Friday morning, 6:30am @ North Dandalup Dam.
Great run on the Weekend guys, it's great to have some company. Felt ok for the first 20k then held on until 28km when I came good and finished strong (40k in 3:38). Then a nice 6k recovery to see TB through to the finish - well done TB.
Happy runnning

OK Mark, Eagle View Trail at 6.30 it is. So where exactly is the trailhead? I've stumbled onto part of the trail whilst lost on my MTB, I remember there being a lot of hills...

I may come up for a run on Sunday, but I'll have to see if it works out, probably a long way to go for a 15k trail run although it would be great to have the company.
