my wife and I hiked on a fair bit of that eagle view trail and got lost out there for 3 hours back in 2005 I think it was... Im not sure but I am guessing it starts from near -the southern waterfall (not hovea falls the more western one) or -maybe the bridge for jane brook? next to northern part of railway heritage trail east of old railway tunnel best car access from park rd to the picnic area near the the old double lane bridge...on the railway heritage trail...not far from where the john forrest crosscountry race is done...old Faithfulls hill etc... 0630 on sunday is very tempting, especially as I cant run this saturday morning due to sisters 21st...maybe I'll have to show up too...but then again might be wiser to wait until i buy some new shoes... the following weekend...lovely spot from memory ...its really "out there"....incredible views to the plains below from memory... www.walkgps.com/Eagle's%20View%20(John%20Forrest%20Nat.%20Park)%20walk.htm www.perthtrails.com.au/trailinfo.asp?pg=393&ID=29

I ain't been on here for age's!!!
Sal and I have run the Eagle Trail a couple of time's. It's a great trail I reckon the best close to Perth. We've run it in the rain and in the heat. We run in from the Peachey Rd carpark adding about another 4km in total. I'd be carefull and keep an eye out for snakes while it's still warm, some of the trail is quite vegetated, we wore gaiters when we did it in November.
Were slowly ramping up training before The Gobi in June so we'll see you out and about on the trails I'm sure.

Hey Steve, Glad to see you guys back on the board, it was good to catch up you both at Point Walter, thanks for the extra info on the trail, sounds like we may do some bushbashing on this trail, should be good fun. Kathy is the pace maker this weekend so she can look out for snakes and spiders this time!! Look forward to running some trails with you both soon.

Nathan, This is our first Gobi, we did the Atacama(Chile)last year. We followed last years Gobi and it looked a whole lot different to what we experienced in Chile. As with last year we're probably under done. We're behind where we were at this time last year and we've got 2 months less!! But what the heck. Will the Munda Biddi 100km be on again this year? If so when?

My Mistake, serves me right for not thinking. At the moment the MB100k is down for the 14th June, a little later than last year and we've tried to work the date around some other events. When is your race? The date can change if it needs to, just let us know.

Gobi starts on 8th June so we'll just be finishing on the 14th. Don't change it just for us. It would have to be about 3-4 weeks earlier to fit with our plan, it could always be after I suppose....

Steve we can always do a fatass off the fatass event! Steve, Sally, Mark B, ? What events does it clash with Nate? Glasshouse doesn't look to be happening for me because we will be moving/finance thingy so this kind of fits for me for a run. So what do we all think???

Hi Steve Good to see you back again. We had the Ridge-top walk down for 10-11th May and 100K for June. The Ridge top walk would be possibly better training? Thought we'd do the ridge top before it get's too cold. Nathan Hit the Great North Walk for my last train ing run yesterday. Beautiful trail!

Hi Dave,
Good Luck on Saturday. There's no pressure on you, enjoy the race and scenery. Look forward to hearing your race report.
Steve and I are keen for the Ridge Top Walk in May. Will be good timing prior to us heading to China.

I'll almost certainly be there on Sunday for the eagle trail loop after a no show this morning for my long run. I got out to North Dandalup and there was some serious lightning happening, so I thought it best to not run through the hills!!!!
Just a thought. I'm heading to Cambodia for 2 weeks 13th-27th April and I wanted to get a pretty serious run done on the 12th as I don't think I'll be able to run much. Maybe this could be a good date for the MB100k?
