Dan, there are weekend runs most weekend. Check in Weekend Long Runs. This weekend is a bit of a different one, we are running 27km from Bakers Hill to Northam on Saturday night as a practice for running at night for the Kep Ultra. Check in the Kep Ultra thread for info.
Weekend of 4/5 April we don't have anything planned because some of us are doing a 12 hour rogaine thing. The weekend after is Easter and we are running the Mt Helena 40 miler. After Easter we will then get back into our normal weekend long runs, though these are likely to be somewhere between 30km and 50km distance until the end of May.

Well, I'm supposed to make the plan for Wednesday, TB, but I'm a bit noncommittal right now We're supposed to be up for a run in the bush this Wednesday, but I can't choose because I want something close AND hilly AND different. Close and hilly is really only Lesmurdie or Bold Park (both nice places to run, but I also like new and different!) So, I sit on the fence right now. Rob is Mr. Easygoing, so he'll go to whatever locale I finally settle on. Next Wednesday we'd be back to the beach, then alternating with the bush/hills/trail somewhere. Will keep posting as I work on my commitment issues Wherever we go on Wednesday will require headlamp for the end, I think (best to have it - it's pretty dark by 7 PM already). Ive always had a lot of problems with commitment issues, just too much to choose from, the paralysis of choice...so it comes down to the essentials; God, wife, family, work, sleep, food, and then the rest... I have a chiropractic appointment at 1745, although I am thinking about maybe trying to reschedule that, and i start work near the city at 2030...so I should have a window of opportunity if I am well organised, but I'm not keen on hills until my hammy heals properly, ...so maybe I'll wait and see what the rostering wizards at work deal me next week, and maybe come to the beach, then again if I get another 1530 start I may not be able to...I could be fatalistic and say maybe I am destined not to do a midweek run, but i will keep it on the radar for now... I still think you should pay the ZIG-ZAG a visit...for hills... what about the DNA tower in Kings park, or one of the hills you visited on Painathlon... www.painathlon.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=58&Itemid=61actually some of the new ideas suggested @ www.painathlon.com/might be worth a look... As they say on Forest Gump; "variety is the spice of life"...

Rob and I are still out there on Wednesday nights - Bold Park again tomorrow.
Next Wednesday I'll be running the Cdn Rocky Mountains. Rob's going to need a buddy for the beach run, so someone better put up their hand!

Gosh, it's scary looking back at Rob's last post here from May!
Since it appears I am headed for knee surgery, I'm getting a few runs in to "stock up!" Rob and I are back at Bold on Wednesdays for now. I imagine we'll go back to alternating with Wed beach runs soon (as it warms up), but I'll be getting some forced rest sometime in September.
6 PM is our usual start time.
