I'll probably get there at around 6:30 anyway, so let's make up our minds on heat etc then. They are saying 40...if it is very hot, maybe an idea to opt for another beach run?

Rob - Okay, we'll meet at 6:30 tomorrow and decide if it's Bold or head to the beach - there are breezes at Bold (if there are any to be found) and trees do provide some cover after about 6:30 or 7 PM as the sun lowers.
Bully - sorry to miss you for the heat training tomorrow -

Last night's run: Rob and I had a great time running a zig zag route through Bold Park that gave us lots of short steep hills and a bit of sand. The heat wasn't bad, actually, as we had a small breeze and lots of shade. Rob got 13k (the bonus k rule applied) and I managed to get 20 by running to and from home (tempting as it was to take up Rob on his offer of a lift home at the end!)
Next Wed we should be back to the beach for some barefoot, cambered ankle strengthening! Hope to see a few more lovelies come join us around 6:30 PM for 12k (feel free to go longer)....

All welcome to come along to City Beach tomorrow (Wed) at 6:30 to join Rob and I for a run in the sand - maybe we'll head south first this time to get the punishing push in the wind over with and enjoy being pushed all the way back! Meet under the restaurant, by the toilet blocks.

On Wednesday we're headed to the bush to run Lesmurdie Falls National Park for 9-12kms.
As this is where my car was broken into, I've sussed out a new place to park which seems safer. If driving from the north, take Welshpool Road and turn left onto Lewis Road. Follow it for a few (?) kms until you reach Palm Terrace. A sign just before that intersection tells you to use Palm Terrace to access Lesmurdie Falls. Park right on that corner - there's lots of room on the verge on the right hand side (the side where the park is).
Plan to meet at about 6:30?

Keeping the driving easy today, Rob and I are planning to meet for 6:15 at Bold Park to do about 12k. Let us know if you're interested in coming along.

work commitments and the need to try and get my hammy injury right are proving to be bigtime obstacles which are not going away at the moment...but I will post if things change as I support this concept, and would like to be part of it, if and when that is a good option for me again...hope it went well...run on!

Well, I'm supposed to make the plan for Wednesday, TB, but I'm a bit noncommittal right now We're supposed to be up for a run in the bush this Wednesday, but I can't choose because I want something close AND hilly AND different. Close and hilly is really only Lesmurdie or Bold Park (both nice places to run, but I also like new and different!) So, I sit on the fence right now. Rob is Mr. Easygoing, so he'll go to whatever locale I finally settle on. Next Wednesday we'd be back to the beach, then alternating with the bush/hills/trail somewhere. Will keep posting as I work on my commitment issues Wherever we go on Wednesday will require headlamp for the end, I think (best to have it - it's pretty dark by 7 PM already).

I lik eht eidea of trail running as an addition to my road training. Is there any possibility of a weekend run? Or are there too many other commitments?
