Rob, meet at the general store at 5:45 for a 6am start. I'm stashing 2ltrs of water at Kingsbury Rd as I'm only taking my hand held so you can have some of that if you need a refill. Are you cool if we only stop every hour? If not then that's fine - I am more concerned about having some company.
See you in a few days

I'll run with my 3 litre Nate, so should be fine for water. I'm happy to run through on this one.
So the general store in Jarradale?

Its 3 weeks now to the Big race. So I'll post some details for you to review to minimise chances of getting lost. We will be starting from our chalet at Dwellingup Caravan Park and taking the trail into town (about 500m) where we will join up with the Munda Biddi heading South. The trail is well marked and the signs glow under headlamp light which we will need for about 30 minutes. It is ~17k to Nanga where I plan to leave a water drop. We are open to crew voltunteering but thought it better to keep our crew fresh for the night section rather than waking them at 6am. Upon arriving at Nanga there is a trail junction where we will be turning RIGHT to follow the orange marron on small yellow triangles. This is the Waterous loop. First aid station is ~35K at Waroona Dam wall carpark just to the left of the track. The trail then heads to Willowdale rd where there is a further aid station @~50K depending on runners speed this may move out to Nanga Rd at 60K. If runners are close enough together they will get beneift of both but carry enough water to get you through 25K. From willowdale Rd runners join back up with the Munda Biddi by turning LEFT don't go right this takes you to Collie. More to follw

Heading north from Willowdale rd you willl run into a munda biddi detour. The signs go straight and also right. This is~5K from willowdale. Keep going STRAIGHT as the detour just takes you to a picnic area a few K off course. ~60K is the next aid station at Nanga Rd. Runners need to load right up because it is ~20K without aid to Nanga. Much of this is downhill on King Jarrah form (a narrow 4WD road). It is abot 8K to the Bidjar Ngoulin hut to the left of the track. You do NOT need to call into the hut though if you spring a leak in your hydration pack or another such hydration disaster there will be water available here. Look for the bed symbol and sign pointing left but continue straight ahead. Upon arriving at Nanga camping ground follow the munda biddi (and waterous signs which appear together on the directional signs) all the way through (do NOT turn right and follow the blue Munda Biddi signs back towards Dwellingup but continue to follow the orange marron straight ahead) the campground to the white gate where the half way aid station and the finish of the 50 miler will be located. From here turn around and head back to the start. As easy as that!

Just to reiterate. You do a u-turn at halfway as it is out and back this year. A few advantages and disadvantages with this but primarily avoid the big downhill into Nanga in the dark which played havoc with my headlamp in 2007 and avoid 20K unsupported between 120-140K.

You and me both Rob. Will attempt a 20 minute run today which will basically determine whether or not I start on Sat or not. If I don't start then I'll be happy to crew for the race but Kate and I won't stay in Dwellingup so will miss the start and probably catch up with you guys at Nanga or the Dam.

He did, but if I can't do a 20 min run today - no chance of any real distance on Sat. Basically just want to test things out, I haven't run since Saturday morning and if no real progress has been made in 5 days then not much will change before Saturday.
