According to the "news" section of the WAMC website:
"The John Gilmour for 2009 has shifted from the date and place originally advertised in the club program. The date for the race is now 6 November 2009 (a Friday) with the race for those taking greater than 40 minutes starting at 0600. The race for those taking less than 40 minutes will start at 0715. The location is the new Athletics WA Track at AK Reserve. This is accessed via the entrance to Challenge Stadium - just bear hard left at the first opportunity. The Race Director for this event will be Phil Webb (contact details on the team tab)."
I thought the race was in the evening, as stated in the running programme for 2009. Is this just a typo?

I would presume that it should read 6pm and 7.15pm on the WAMC website as the john gilmour runs in the past have traditionally been on a Friday evening - otherwise there wouldn't be many starters on a Friday morning.

its evening for sure...
and i wish they wouldnt make late changes to the program...
im happy to see it at AK to celebrate the new track in 2009, but late changes to program IMO are a dum idea and a sure way to create confusion amongst potential entrants, pretty sure bet there will be people turning up at Coker park the week before wondering where everyone is, someone should leave a sign there about the change of venue and date...
hopefully no one goes to AK in the AM...and also hope it goes back to Coker Park in 2010...as this is a race that should be run at the Canning home track.
