Hi B, yes I can still walk all day so rogaines are definitely still on the agenda. I had a glimpse of a pain filled future and didn't like it so I've decided to back right off the running before things get too bad. I'm enjoying more cycling at the moment so don't worry I'm still getting my endurance fix! Would love some company on the bike. Maybe I can talk you into a team at Busso IM...

Hey Suzy, will forever have the memory of yourself and Mark nailing 6-inch in sensational times last year, and being the first woman to attempt it in 2005 sad to see a WA all-time legend (multiple Ironman finisher in Hawaii and elsewhere, and mid/low 3hr marathoner?) not running, but I guess we have to listen to our bodies sometimes...Am sure you will have heaps of exciting challenges on the bike, Rogaining or elsewhere to pursue...alal the best with looking after the knees...I can relate, as I have managed significant knee injuries every day for the last 10 years now......we will miss hearing about your trail running...

Thanks TB and Robd2. I'll still be lurking around here I suspect so you never know where I might pop up. Good luck with all your running endeavours.

Well done Suzy, you have accomplished so much in running, now you can take on the next challenge. You can use all you have learn't from running in the future. Remember all the good and bad times you have had out running, a fond reminder of Ultra trail running.......... See you in the forest doing the MTB thing.

Hi All, We will put the 22nd into our calendar, but we are both still having aches and pains from Namibia and I need to get some more treatment for my Hamstring/Adductor injury that just wont go away. We will be back on the trails soon though, we are aiming to make KofM our first race back, nice easy one...... Suzy, shame to hear about your running, Good luck with the bike and hope to still see and hear from you. Sal

Suzy- Another one bites the dust. All the best for your cycling. Must say my knees appreciate running over cycling. Sal- Put the 26h into the calendar instead you won't find anyone there on the Tuesday! Get some massage on your adductor it's up close and personal so that may need to be yourself or Steve. Also I found my adductor was tightening from over striding so make an effort to take smaller steps.

RC - I know exactly how you feel about road running. Until I saw Dave's note reminding us of the Waterous race option for September, I was thinking it was time to create another fat-ass trail race for the spring! Have you got King of the Mtn on your radar? It's only 16k but it's trail and you get a good creek soaking. It is certainly a hassle about not enjoying road running as at present I cannot get out to the hills. I have to make do with going around a park at present until I get some more time on my hands. As for the King of the Mountain I have definitely heard about it ( that is have heard it is a lot of fun and a great event ). I will definitely be there for that so I hope to see some of you all again. The fat ass trail event sounds like a great idea. When I can get out on regular trail runs I also want to try and figure out a route for one. Alas this may be some time away Suzy- sorry to hear about your knee problems but you are probably making a wise decision to get out while you are ahead. On the bright side mountain biking is a lot of fun so at least you will still be out on the trails, only going a lot faster!
